The BlundaBus is an award-winning pop-up Comedy Theatre & Bar on a converted double-decker Bus. Created by comedian Bob Slayer, the BlundaBus appears at Fringe, Festivals, Comedy Festivals, Music Festivals, Breweries, Your House… Anywhere it’s invited and Everywhere it’s not!

On 4th July 2015 (Independence Day) we took delivery of an ex-London double decker. We converted it into a 45 capacity mini theatre on the top deck with a bar / ticket office in the saloon below. The BlundaBus has since appeared all around the UK and even Norway and Ireland is booked in.

  • Previous Acts Include: Stewart Lee, Phil Kay, Paul Foot, Bobby Mair, Tim Renkow, Sofie Hagen, Adam Hess, Norman Lovett, Spencer Jones, Patrick Monahan, Tony Law, Josh Ladgrove, Simon Munnery, Bob Slayer…
  • Festivals Include: Edinburgh Fringe, Leicester Comedy Festival, Glasgow Comedy Festival, Nottingham Comedy Festival, Croydon Comedy Festival, Bergen Humorfest (Norway), Stavanger Comedy Festival (Norway), Livestock Festival, Musicport, Brew In The Bog Festival, Kelburn Festival etc
  • Breweries Include: Born In The Borders, Castle Rock Nottingham, Howardtown etc…

YOUR DRIVER: BOB SLAYER is an award-winning Comedian, storyteller and maverick Fringe promoter…
Bob started life as a Jockey but multiple injuries and increasing weight caused him to retire from the saddle. He became a rock & Roll tour manager who The NME described as: “Wilder than the acts he looked after” (Snoop Dogg, Bloodhound Gang, Electric Eel Shock)… In 2008 he first appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe and has been back every year since then. He has toured the world performing in Comedy Clubs, Festivals, Breweries etc ever since… But all he ever wanted to be was a Bus Driver!

“Bob Slayer is an original, gloriously crazy, fabulously funny…” (The Scotsman)
“One of the genuine alternative comedians… Spirit of the Fringe” (The Guardian)
“People are laughing and I have no idea why, surrealism is not dead” (The Skinny)
“Good natured, bad behaviour from a very funny man” (The Scotsman)

“I’ve been slightly obsessed with Bob Slayer for the last few years. Slayer came to comedy via tour managing rock bands and he has, in his eccentric way, shaken things up…” (Beyond The Joke)
“Bob Slayer’s story is mental. He started out as Tour Manager for Electric Eel Shock from Japan and graduated to tour with bands like Snoop Dogg. On a tour with the Bloodhound Gang gig there was a problem on stage. He was sent out to entertain 1500 fans while it was sorted. It was a massive disaster. The next night the same thing happened. On the third night he learned his lesson and the crowd went wild!” (NME)

“Bob Slayer’s brand of insane merriment perfectly encapsulates the Edinburgh mood….” (The Spectator)
“Brilliant off-the-cuff show…” (ThreeWeeks)
“Pick of the week from Comedy’s own Renaissance man…” (Time Out)
“Carried off with such charm and generosity that his show works, even when it really shouldn’t” (Fest Mag)
“Almost guaranteed to give you a memorable disaster to add to your Fringe memorabilia, Bob Slayer is the ultimate Off-Off-Fringe performer… He is loveably genial and irresistibly friendly… Slayer is dedicated to entertaining you, his audience. Crazy, shambolic but great fun, shows like this are, for me, a vital part of the Fringe experience.” (The Scotsman)
“Bob Slayer is unlike anything else I came across at the Fringe: a maverick comedian and a throwback to the festival’s roots, half-genius, half-disaster. The ultimate in improvisation…”  (BroadwayBaby)
